Did anyone finish all of the movie titles in Pokéstar Studios YEAH ME NEITHER
Yeah, I did maybe three of them before I got bored.
I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE GAME!
I actually restart if the director says something that hints in that they didn't like what I said.
I always thought it was weird how short the movies are...
I only did the one they made you do. It was really lame.
Maybe if they released movies like "2 Gardevoirs 1 Berry Pot", "Lopunny's Bad Fur Day", and "Flannery & The Devon Goods", then maybe people would be more inclined to finish production.
...Why is everybody lookin' at me weird?
Did quite a few of them, but not all... I really like the time machine one though.
@ShinyHoundoom229: you are a freaking genius!
8D ... I did them all, even the unlocked ones. Great way to pass time~ LOL.
Before I even finished the 5th gym. Free lemonades for a couple minutes? Hellz yeah.
To be honest, I've almost finished all of the movies.
And then never went back. Scripted battles are boring.
Easily the best way to get money by redoing movies for Nuggets and Big Pearls.
I think I've done most of them, I just need to do Brycen Man strikes back harder, and maybe one or two more series. I like the idea of Pokestar Studios, however it would have been SO much better and more popular if it was less battle orientated.
@Foxblaze: I think they should have also included a special movie where you can do it with Christoph/Nancy eue That would have been great
I didn't even want to do the one that they make you do...
They should just put contests back into the games instead of making up all of this stupid bullshit.
Kinda sucks that I am doing the train card challenge and I have 38 more flipping movies to go. -3-
@Shadow-Charmeleon: what a train card challenge?
@Maiumaora - Contests aren't that much better. If anything, they were more boring! At least, the films were more involving; take off the nostalgia glasses. -.-
@extremeArtist: Well if you think about it, every story has like three or 4 parts and together they would make a whole movie, so its like they're releasing scenes as movies just to milk the people.
Pretty clever if you ask me.
Oh good lord this is so true. I always feel so guilty when I want to redo a film just to get a strange ending.
I kinda like the movies and stuff, but I wish the Poke Contests were back instead :<
Heheh, I did. I love Pokèstar studios :P
Yes, I finished all the movies. And the one with the Prince and the evil Queen is epic jsut because of Sabrina.
Those movies were the last thing I did in White 2. Over 2 months ago now.
I did none of them before I got bored.
I like the musical though for some reason.
Nah, I didn't really bother finishing them all. I only finished about 4 of them.
I did SO MANY. And then I did a whole bunch of them over again because I found out that if you get a certain rating the people in the foyer after the film give you tonnes of awesome items and stuff... and I got way too addicted and spent about 12 hours doing film after film after... yeh. THINGS.
Still didn't finish all of the movie titles mind you. XD
I made it through all the films. It took me time, but I wanted that achievement.
@LuigiMan200: Out of all of the extras, contests and super contests were the most functional and strategic. They had a mechanics system all their own that encouraged breeding and movesets specifically for the feature. Gen III's region-wide circuit gave contests a flow similar to that of the league, and Gen IV's fleshed-out system was near perfect. I really can't understand why Game Freak took such a major step back with ideas like the Pokemon Musical.
And i got all the special endings too, or w/e u call them.
got a black trainer card :)
I did. All of them. And I redid like half of them for the weird endings. I thought it was a lot of fun :D
Talking to your fans afterwards got you a bunch of items, which is probably why I had the patience to do them all. Uh, yeah, between that and selling the gifts (Lava Cookies, Old Gateaux, and Rage Candy Bars come to mind) to the Hungry Maid on Route 5, money just stops being an issue.
Of course, I only redid movies where I would've gotten the bad ending...
@Miles Hikari: The time machine one was fucked up o.o
@SamayoSukuichi: Me too, I liked the storylines and the cute costumes XD
@Maiumaora: They should have contests AND this stuff. I don't know why they left contests behind, I guess they thought they were too old. But then again, remember people bitched about contests too :P
@Lame Doge: I got confused with the musicals too. I mean, we went from super intense contests (Breed your pokemon for natures! Feed them the correct food! Teach them the correct moves! Do it in the correct order or you are SCREWED!) to something where it's literally PRESS A BUTTON AND THE CROWD WILL CHEER! Just....odd. Simpler, a little less nerve wrackling, but...yeah. Definitely not a replacement. If anything, I just play 4th gen to do the contests again. Which is sad, cos I be Serperior would be AWESOME. It'd be like the grass version of Milotic. XD
I finished all the ones I could before getting my 3rd badge lol. Had 150 Lemonades. Had to buy virtually no other healing supplies for the rest of the story! Great way to get some free HP!
I hated that place... I said I would burn that place to the ground if I could >:I I really disliked that it was required to do... I also lost all my respect for Brycen there...
the female PC looks like a man in lady's clothing
I did all of them. I even got the strange endings, which you get medals for and better items + increase of fans. I loved the Magical Door Series, and the robot + kid one.
I managed to do it... eventually. Its worth all the items you get from it. Like seriously, if you dont think its worth it.... talk to the NPCS after you watch a film to see the results. and I mean all of them, cause... you'll find after doing enough... you'll likely never need a pokemart ever again xD
that is, as long as your doing a good job. even then. well worth it.
Ugh, they were SO boring! Wouldn't have been so bad if you could use your own pokemon from the start, but noooo. Even afterwards, there are really strict conditions...
@Sarah: I only did the start because they FORCE you to save
The games can only save a limited number of times
I did most of them... I've not done the newer ones that came post E4 though..
@Icalasari: Yeah like.. 90million times... http://www.bress.net/blog/archives/114-How-Long-Does-a-Flash-Drive-Last.html (I know this is a test on a flash drive, not a DS game, but it's still flash memory isn't it?)
I doubt they'd force it to save for so many things if there was a small limit you could exceed in your life...
I do them if I'm really bored
I did all of them, plus the strange endings.
Seriously, it is the best way to farm for money and items. And the strange endings are often hilarious.
This comic has inspired me to actually play all of the movies.
HERESY I DID THEM ALL
Plus if you do enough strange ending films with a pokemon from your party, it gets a unique battle entry animation.
Internet guy "That Dude in the Suede" decided to review all the Pokemon movies with Linkara and Jewario. Yea.... its going to be a while.
I like to imagine that at the end of this strip the Director pushes the main character off a cliff and replaces her with a ditto. And then pushes and replaces the green suit guy too just for fun.
gonna post anything funny anytime soon?
Umm...I actually did because I thought they would give you something at the end...XD
I did all I could before getting the 3rd badge then didn't buy any potions until after the 8th gym. You get some pretty good items. I did all the new ones afterwards and one you only got by getting 500 million (or maybe billion) on a single movie. That's pretty easy to unlock just by being a guy for the 50 ft woman movie.
The best part of any of the movies though was easily doing one over with your own pokemon. Mecha-Tyranitar was a nightmare to do the first time. The second time I had to hold back (you get the most money [and thus best items] by winning immediately after finishing any special parts like choosing a line) but a single Earthquake took him right out.
i only did it for the free lemonade
I DID ALL OF THEM. I even did all of them again but with strange endings instead. My bag is loaded with Big Pearls right now :3
i tried doing them all. untill in one of them it was basically imposible. it told me to knock out 3 pokemon that all have destiny bond. i had one pokemon. no matter what, they always used destiny bond.
Am I the only one who got the feeling that the movie was going to be porn?
I personally like the movies, though I've only done a couple of them. Out of all the different extra events/contesty things, Pokestar studios is a close second. I doubt anything will beat the pokethlon. That was just plain awesome.
The contests were cool too, but I'm glad they decided to try other things. (but the musical kinda sucked...I did it anyways, though)
@Icalasari: So? It's near impossible to run out.
@Sarah: The one they make you do is lame. The sci-fi one is fucked up though. If you can unlock that one do it. It will creep you out thoroughly, and then make you want to either destroy or catch every bug pokemon you see XDDDD I don't really know why they threw that one in there. It's just...creepy.
@Not Linkara: This should not have made me laugh XD
@Hazy Fire Fists: I guess it's on purpose. Before game launching, some magazine displayed the bw2 protag (Mei/Rosa) as a male because of a typo, and it has become a running gag since then
I did all of them xP It took me hella lot of time, but i got trough it, and well...the golden statue was worth it ^^
@aquashiram14: Yeah same here, except I got 150 Moomoo milks instead and like 80 Lemonades, 50 hyper potions, 30 Old Gateaux and Lava Cookies each, etc.
wish i got pokemon b/w 2 but im saveing up for wiiu games and x and y.
Yeah, just Timegate Travelers cause I sucked with the other movies...
Oh, and I just got my eighth gym badge, and I decided to go into all the houses in Humilau City (cause I can), and I noticed the old bat with the Meinfoo that needed walking. You know what I'm talking about. The Meinfoo in which you CAN'T TAKE OUTSIDE, CAN'T WATCH TV WITH, OR LOOK INTO A FREAKIN' TRASH CAN WITHOUT THE WOMAN FREAKING OUT ON YOU. That would look hilarious in comic form.
:Ain't nobody got time for that!:
..i clicked the next button for a few hours then the last button then stared and started crying since you didint have more yet...I CANT WAIT TILL YOU DO X AND Y WHEN YOUR DONE WHITH THE B&W STIFF yea..it was...an...interesting region at best...i cried when i saw there were pokemon that looked like pokeballs again but i kept doin the movies SO I CULD GET IN THAT STUPID ROOM....its still unopened to this verry day
I feel so pathetic, I did every last one of them. Some I even got a second ending to it. I'm so ashamed I didn't get anything for my troubles but an obscene amount of cash.
who cares about side games anyway?
@Gamining King: Cheesy potatoes :O
Strange endings can get you far more money (like 510 million instead of 115 million) and thus much better items. If you do well enough, you can get items like Full Restores (not buyable until you have 8 badges) and Max Revives (not buyable period).
i did all of them but they sucked because i always finished to battle too early so it showed me losing in the theatre
I did all of them when I was bored training my Pokemon. There's not much, just a room and a trainer card upgrade. Nothing in the room, either.
